Ceramic raschig rings are used as buffering materials in waste gas and wastewater treatment systems, creating a surface for the reaction between chemicals and the exhaust gas stream, increasing the retention time of the gas stream as well as the reaction time between the gas chemical waste and solution.
Technical specifications:
- Heat resistance: 1400 degrees C, stable in acidic or high basic environments
- Acid resistance: 85-98% (glazed and unglazed types)
- Compressive strength: 20 MPa
- Quantity / m3: 4000 (for pipe with specification 60x60mm).
- Quantity / m3: 6400 (for pipes with specifications 50x50mm).
- Quantity / m3: 14000 (for pipes with specification 40x40mm)

Advantages:
- The mechanical strength and surface area are many times higher than that of other conventional materials.
- With the main chemical composition and SiO2, Al2O3, the Rasching ceramic ring is able to withstand high temperatures up to 800oC and is stable in an acidic or high base environment.
Application: Used as buffering material in waste gas treatment and wastewater treatment works.
